The sketch is the beginning of everything. It arises from our conversation—about the theme, mood, story, and your vision. Sketching can be quick and intuitive, or slow and exploratory, depending on the project scope and detail required.
This is the phase where composition, atmosphere, and the direction of the entire illustration are tuned. Sketches help you visualize the result and help me understand where we are heading together.
The price of an illustration depends on complexity and purpose. Factors include:
Number of characters, animals, or objects
Level of detail and background work
Style (line art, soft color, full color illustration)
Usage (book, print, web, personal project)
Some illustrations grow into original paintings. They emerge as physical works—for the wall, a collection, or as a personal exhibition piece.
Long-term cooperation includes a specific schedule. I love establishing long-term relationships with authors, publishers, and creative teams.
Every original is created slowly and with respect for the story it carries. I always seek a balance between aesthetics and budget. It’s not just about the price, but about the illustration making sense and functioning within the context of your project.
