My Journey not only to Fine Arts
I am a woman born under the sign of Taurus, which confirms me, according to astrology, as an introvert. A Taurus woman has a sense of order, tradition and duty, but most importantly, she appreciates sensual pleasures and admires art and, in general, everything beautiful.
Yes, that’s me – the introvert who admired paintings but never had one piece of an art at home because I would felt that artists invades my privacy through these paintings. The introvert who never went to any art group or later adult classes, because being in a room with other strangers is something that scary me. The introvert who was “finally forced” by his own daughter to go to a painting course (she went with me) and there I discovered watercolor. So I have to point out, not that I discovered watercolor and the earth shook, but I met an artist-teacher who can not only show me the beauty of watercolor paintings from a slightly different perspective, but who also easily explained (still has been explaining) the intricacies with which we all meet when creating watercolor arts.
And then there is my other self – the Taurus again. Do you know how angry a bull is when it is cornered in the arena? So it’s Me versus Watercolor, which moves way which it wants and absolutely refuses to respect the laws of painting, which, in its predictability, oil painting as well as acrylic enthusiastically provide.
By the way, do you know that you can add a few drops of bull bile to the water in which you dilute the watercolor to improve the flow of the colors? Well, that’s about it, it’s not worth describing any more, or you know what? Sometimes we can talk more about watercolor here.
Well, finally here is my third self. Looks like I’m going to be a bit schizophrenic like a proper artist. My third self is a product of my life and the times we live in – I present myself as a dominant and determined extrovert, which actually goes back to the first sentence of this introduction “having a sense of order, tradition and duty”.
So what next? Everything written here has resulted in the thought “why not to take painting a little further and to kick it up to a higher level than a relaxing pastime is?” And because my third self, when it says something, does it, here we are – me and my art blog and the art e-shop, who after a relatively easy albeit long birth, it is still in its infancy. I will really appreciate if you come back regularly, perhaps just to read about watercolor or my great love for Israel, where I sometimes fly to paint.
I’m glad we met, this adventure is just beginning.
People Said About Me
I recently bought a watercolour painting for myself and right after one for my mom. Both are absolutely stunning! We requested custom floral motifs, and the results are amazing. The colors are vibrant, and the details are incredible. I receive compliments from everyone. Truly a beautiful addition to our homes!
I commissioned a custom painting of our cat for my parents, and the result was incredibly touching and beautifully done. Martina perfectly captured the essence of our kitty, which moved my parents to tears. The painting has become a part of their home. Thank you, thank you!
I've been following Hastal Fine Arts on Instagram for a long time, and one day she posted a picture of the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. I immediately fell in love with it and now its hanging on my wall! The purchase process was seamless and easy, the painting was nicely wrapped and with passepartout. I am already thinking about purchasing another one.
